I finally made a dent in the present wrapping. I'm not finished but definitely made a dent. I did the Christmas shopping a little different this year. I did a bunch of clearance shopping year round and resisted every urge to not give it to the kids before now. I've gotten some super cute clothes and can't wait to see my babies wear them and will be smiling even bigger knowing what I paid for them.
We went to go see Santa Claus at the mall today and Jordyn actually sat beside him and talked to him and Colton sat in his lap and even smiled. I paid the ridiculous price for the package and would you believe it, I not only left my camera at home but also my iPhone!!!! I felt like I was cut off from the world. lol. After the Santa pictures, Jordyn spotted a Choo-Choo train and decided since they did so good in the pictures, we went for a spin. After the train, my sister and the kids went to check out Charming Charlie. OMG I'm in love. lol. I wanted to buy so many things, I told the hubby that he better be glad I forgot the stroller (I know, I was super forgetful today!!!) or I would have done some major damage. I decided that I'm going to get my sis in law a gift card to there for Christmas cuz I know she will love it. I'm so excited for Christmas. I'm excited to see Colton's face and see him open all his presents. I can't wait to see Jordyn excited to see that she got things she's been asking for. We're hosting Christmas for BOTH sides of our families!!!! Its going to be a houseful and surprisingly I'm not stressed. We're ordering our turkey and ham, so I dont have to worry about those. What are you're plans for Christmas?

Colton is 9 months old!

We're busy getting everything ready for Christmas around our household. I can no wait to see Jordyn's and Colton's expressions when they walk into the living room and see the tree with all their wonderful presents. I think we're almost done with all their shopping. I still have to get presents for my sis in law and her man and my nephews.
Colton is 9 months old today. I almost forgot that. He's getting into everything and walking behind his toy so much more. I just know he'll be walking just in time for his first Christmas. This Christmas will be a lot of first, first one in our new/first home that we own, Colton's first, and the first when Jordyn understands the true meaning of Christ-mas. I'm truly blessed. Things are working out finally, I was going to post last week but it probably would have been all negative. We were having a bunch of problems with my car. Its time to get a new one and we will be shopping for one in the spring, but long story short, we have replaced the radiator in my 2001 Jeep 3 times in the past year at the cost of almost $3000. Last week was a week when everything that could go wrong felt like it did. Thankfully after many prayers we are back on track. We did get the kids Christmas pictures taken so I'll leave you with those.

Thanksgiving
Its Thanksgiving time! I love this holiday. I love all the food and being able to see family. Its sad, I live within a 50 mile radius of almost all of my family and still don't get to see them that often. This year will be Colton's first Thanksgiving and he doesn't even have any teeth to eat anything. He's almost 9 months old and doesnt have a single tooth. I doubt that will stop him though. I want to end this post by saying what I'm thankful for...I'm thankful for 2 wonderful and healthy kids, a loyal and faithful husband who works hard to allow me to stay home with my babies, but most importantly, I'm thankful to God who gives me all of this. What are you thankful for?

Happy Belated Veteran's Day
Yesterday was Veteran's Day and the 10 year anniversary of my Papa's death. Its hard to believe its been 10 years. My Papa (my mom's dad) was a wonderful man. He was a WWII Vet that loved his country and his family. He was a honorable man and I'm blessed to have known him for 14 years of my life. I only wish my children could have known him.
Thank you for letting me get that out. Things around here have been busy. Russ went to Orlando early Monday morning and came back around 1 on Tuesday afternoon. He said it was beautiful there. Jordyn missed her daddy so much and was so excited that he brought her back 2 princess shirts and a Tinkerbell doll. Colton wasn't left out, he got some Toy Story PJ's and a Curious George stuffed animal, it fits him perfectly. He gets into everything. And mommy wasn't left out either, Russ got me a very pretty watch, I've got to get some links taken out. I guess now I wont have an excuse to run late. I got my new stove delivered yesterday and I'm so excited. The stove that was here when we bought this house was probably about 20 plus years old and worked but was still nasty so I hadn't done much cooking and now I don't have an excuse. I'm getting another goodie today. Russ no longer has a work phone he can use for personal use, and my contract ends on 12/15 so we decided to get new phones, iphones. I love getting new things and am truly blessed with a husband that works hard to give me things but I do work hard to take care of his kids and house. I think even though he makes the money, I keep the house running.

Its Fall Yall!!!
I know its been a while since my last post but I have a good excuse. Someone has decided to start crawling. Colton started crawling right at 6 months and he's all over the place. We've been super busy since last post. We had a wonderful cookout for Labor Day and had a blast with the family and riding 4 wheelers. Then Russ had his birthday day, the big 3-1!!! and then we celebrated our 2 yr anniversary (it honestly feels like we've been married longer.) He is my absolute best friend and I hope for many more years. Then we had my birthday. The big 2-4!! September is a very busy month for us as you can tell. Well on top of all the birthdays (my mom and mother in laws are both in Sept too) and my little crawling monster, Jordyn has been in school. Jordyn's school is a wonderful school but she had been having some troubles and we stressed and stressed about it and finally decided that we should pull her out and put her in a preschool. No one tells you when you have kids the hard decisions you have to make. I cried and cried and prayed and finally found my answer. She started going 3 days to Faith Lutheran, which came highly recommended and I thank God for everything. She had no selfconfidence in herself so this is the perfect start for her. She will turn 6 in June so she'll be a little older but right now she was the youngest in her class. I'm going to try to start posting regularly. Here are some pictures to enjoy.

Honey I'm home.
So we closed on our home on July 31 and moved in that weekend. Its been a chaos since then. I'm almost completely unpacked. I painted Jordyn's room an awesome color pink, seriously I would have loved it when I was a little girl. I just need to get some art to hang on the walls and then her room will be complete. We decided not to paint Colton's room until he was in a big boy room. I think we're going to paint our bedroom some type of little blueish green.
We got new living room furniture! We're so excited about it. We picked it out and its not a hand me down. My next task is to paint the kitchen, I have the color picked out. It's a Glidden color, Haystack. I don't know what color we'll do the living room. AND the other big news....Jordyn started kindergarten. She's such a big girl now. I was so proud of myself, I didn't cry until I saw my baby get off the school bus that the end of her day. It made it so real and I just had a breakdown. I still don't know what I'm going to do with all my free time. Oh well...Here are some pictures of the new house and Jordyn's first day of school.

Getting the hang of this...
We got up early this morning and got all dressed and ready to go. I took Jordyn over to my aunt's house and then Colton and I started on our journey. We met Daddy at Methodist outpatient testing. Why you ask?
Well, when Jordyn was 18 months old she was diagnosed with Reflux of her kidneys. She was on antibotics for 8 months and then had to have cystoscopy with deflux injections and since then she hasn't had any problems. So our pedictrician decided that it would be best to get Colton tested when he was 4 months and then we could correct any problems before he turned 1.
Well the results were great! Colton's test was negative. I am so glad that Colton doesn't have to go through what Jordyn did.
I am getting so anxious waiting for the next 1 1/2 to pass. It's crazy to think that in less than 2 weeks we will be in our first home that we will own! Things are going so great. :)

I had to take Colton to the doctor today. He went for his 4 month check up last week, so this was a problem visit. He has had a rash under his neck but we thought it was just because he's been drooling so much but it continued to spread. So we went to the dr, he now weighs 14 lbs 13 oz. He gained 7 oz in 9 days. The dr said that he thinks its due to heat/moisture/friction. So he has some new cream. so begins "round 2". In other news... We will be closing on our first house on July 31! The home inspection went great and we're so excited. Jordyn will be starting school the 2nd week of August. So I decided that I'm going to start keeping some kids. I have an interview tomorrow with a teacher from Jordyn's new school and she has a 18 month old so I'm looking for one more. I figured this is good for Colton and great for me to have my own money again!
So I started writing this post out on 7/15 but somehow I got too busy and never posted it

My Very First
So after reading lots of blogs, I decided that I should start one. So being that this is my first blog, I'll start off by telling you a little about myself.
I'm a married mother of 2, a beautiful 5 yr old Princess, Jordyn and a handsome 4 month old Prince, Colton. I'm married to a wonderful and supportive country boy, Russell. We live in my hometown. I've lived here my whole life and love it. It's a great place to raise your children. I'm excited to get this blog up and running so bare with me in the meantime....
