Christmas time

It's that time of year... Time to order you're Christmas cards. I'm super excited this year. We did a mini session with Bluegenes and got some AMAZING pictures and I can't wait to share them with all my family and friends by sending them Christmas cards. I know some of y'all don't send Christmas cards and I love to receive them so u always send them. I'm going to order this year from Shutterfly and they have so many options to choose from and they are all so cute. Right now my favorite is "Have yourself a merry little Christmas". I love how you can choose to just use one picture or with many of the cards, you can choose up to 5 pictures. What a great way to show off those wonderful individual shots of the kids. I want to hear from y'all, are you going to send Christmas cards or not? Enjoy these links...

update

I haven't posted in a while. My children just keep me so busy. We've celebrated Colton's 1st Bday which was a hit! Jordyn played her first season of sports-tball and she loved it. We just celebrated her 6th bday. My family has also been hit by tradgey as well. A very close family friend died after a stroke, and most heartbreaking, My sister lost her baby at 36 weeks. My heart is so broken for her. I hosted a wonderful baby shower on June 6 and then she went to the dr for a regularly scheduled visit and they were unable to find a heartbeat. She had a csection that afternoon. Sweet baby Mackenzie was born sleeping at 36 weeks, she was such a beautiful angel. She weighed 4 lbs 13 oz and was 20 inches long. This was my sister and bro in law's first child. I cant imagine what they are going through. This happened 2 days before Jordyn's birthday. I took her to the hospital to let her see baby Mackenzie since she was old enough to know what was going on for the last 8 months and I explained to her that she was born sleeping and that she was already in heaven, that she just looks like a baby doll and she did. Jordyn cried and said that the only thing she wanted for her birthday was for Mackenzie to be alive and breathing. I felt so helpless. I wish more than anything that I could give that to my daughter and my sister. I had a miscarriage Nov of 2007 at 10 weeks and I was so upset but that pales in comparison to a loss at 36 weeks. We had a beautiful service for her and buried her in a private country cemetery and when we went to go add flowers last night we couldn't help but notice all the fireflies out there. It was just perfect. Please remember my sister and her husband in your prayers tonight and for a while. This is something that they are never going to forget. Some days will be better than others. We're going to celebrate Jordyn and Cayden's birthdays this weekend. Ohh And I almost forgot, I got a new car. Its a 2008 Ford Expedition xlt. Its so nice. The End. lol

let it snow...well ice

Well we got our second "snow" of the year. It is more like ice. I think we would be enjoying it more if we didn't have a sick baby. Colton has been sick for the past 3 days and the doctor doesn't know why. He's been running a fever and was just sleeping WAY too much. So Thursday I took him to the dr and she took pricked his finger and swabbed for the flu and that came back negative (huge relief) but his CBC came back very high meaning he has an infection. His ears looked like an infection could be brewing but not infected yet. The dr was concerned about possibly pnuemonia but he hasn't been coughing that much. So the dr decided to give him a rocephin shot and for us to come back the next day. Well Friday comes and that's the day that all the bad weather started. We headed doen to the dr and his CBC was about the same as the day before so my poor baby got another rocephin shot and some amoxicillan to start today. I hate not knowing what is wrong. He's still got fever but I know he feels better. He was started to get dehydrated on Thursday/Friday. He wouldn't nurse at all and wouldn't eat his food, just drink apple juice with his sippy cup. The good news is, we've started to wean. I figured this would be a good time. As of Saturday afternoon, he still has fever and still is congested. I know he's feeling better cuz he's playing with his sister. He's been so sweet while he's been sick, loving on me and giving lots of kisses. Anyways....Friday night the winter storm hit us and took our power out for about 6 hours, mostly through the night but still we were worried about getting too cold but we survived. Several tree branches didn't though, one even fell on the roof. We didn't have any damage just a mess to clean up, Thank God. One of our good friends came over this morning to help Russ clear everything up and they end let me play with the chain saw (well cut with it lol). enjoy the pictures and I hope yall managed to stay warm.

bad teeth

I dont know what I did to have such terrible teeth problems...well I will admit I love sweets!! I mean I really love them. I think my pregnancy and nursing has really taken a toll on my poor teeth. I'm not a big milk drinker so I really don't get any calcium and I'm really bad at taking my vitamins. It all started while I was pregnant and it was the winter and I was on my way home from work and hungry and remember I had some milk duds. well they were frozen but i really wanted those milk duds, and I chipped my tooth. Then after Colton was born, I had terrible facial pain. I didnt know what it was, I could get no relief. I went to the dr and he thought I might have TMJ and told me to quit nursing because I would need to take a muscle relaxer every night, well thankfully I didn't quit nursing because I finally broke down and went to the dentist and it was an absessed tooth. So, I had to get a root canal. 2 weeks later, I discovered that I chipped another tooth. Well about 3 weeks ago I chipped another tooth, well now food gets stuck in there (gross- i know) and I think its becoming absessed. I'm so frustrated. I feel so terrible about having to spend money on my stupid teeth when I'm a stay at home mom. but I gotta have teeth and one day I will go back to work and I'm sure my future employer would love for me to have teeth. Well I went to target and got some supplies, I got my calcium supplement with vitamin D, my pronamel/sensodyne and my Act rinse. I'm going to go to the dentist and see what he says about my tooth but hopefully I can protect my other teeth.

First post of the new year

One of my New Year's resolutions was to blog at least 3 to 4 times a week but unfortunately my laptop is being difficult and its hard to get into the computer room to use the other computer. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We did. I just uploaded all the pictures from my camera and realized that I didnt take any pictures of the kids opening their presents. I got everything on video so I'm not bad mommy but still I didnt get any pictures. :( We had Christmas for both my family and the in laws at our home this year. It was pretty cool. We cheated and ordered the ham and turkey but they made me angry because they said we didnt order when they later found the ticket and had misspelt my last name. I understand my married name is unusual but i spelt it for them like 10 times. For New Years, we just hung out at the house. Colton slept through it but we decided to let Jordyn stay up and she thought it was really neat...

Colton is 10 months old today! I'm so thankful that I am able to be a stay at home mom. I can't imagine working. He weighs about 20 lbs and is 28 1/2 inches. He's a pro at crawling and cruising but has only taken a couple unassisted steps. He's so wonderful and I'm so blessed to have him.
